Concerts
- Frequently Asked Questions
How are
seats assigned?
All seating is general admission. We do have accessible
seating available, please contact an usher when you arrive if you
require assistance.
When
should I arrive at the concert?
Doors open to the public one half hour prior to the concert. Depending
on the venue, an indoor waiting area may not be readily available.
Are your
venues handicap accessible?
Yes, the NCS concert venues are handicap accessible and offer accessible
seating areas. Please contact an usher when you arrive if you require
assistance.
Is there
parking available at your venues?
On-street parking is available at all of our venues.
May I
bring my child to the concert?
Out of respect for our audiences, we regret that children under
the age of 4 will not be admitted to NCS concerts. If your child
is over 4, please consider whether or not he/she will be able to
sit quietly for an extended period of time before bringing him/her.
What
is this I've heard about a reception?
It has been NCS tradition to welcome members of our audience at
a reception following each of our concerts. Singers and their families
provide sandwiches and "goodies", and volunteer singers serve a
traditional Newburyport Choral Society punch to all who join us.
Please come meet the singers after the next concert you attend!
What
happens if I cannot attend the concert after I've purchased my ticket?
All sales are final. Ticket exchanges may be possible, depending
upon availability, please e-mail (information@newburyportchoralsociety.org)
or call us (978 462-0650) for more information.
What
happens if snow is forecast for a concert date or if a concert date
is postponed?
If for some reason, we are forced to postpone a concert, it will
be held on the Monday following the original date at 8:00 p.m.
In the case
of a weather emergency, we will only postpone a concert if the City
of Newburyport declares a snow emergency (in which case there would
be no on-street parking). In that event we will put a notice on
this website and our phone line (978 462-0650).
